Job description
The German Carpentry Ltd works in the field of high end, residential, prefabricated German eco homes, the design manufacture of bespoke green oak frames and the restoration of old oak frames. Several projects we have been involved in have been on Grand Designs and other TV programmes.
We only work with natural materials and our emphasis is on ecological timber construction with the aim to create healthy and sustainable homes. We are currently looking for experienced carpenters/joiners or less experienced newly qualified carpenters if motivation and willingness to learn new skills is shown.
Tasks will include everything from raising prefabricated wall and roof panels and buildings with the help of cranes, internal 1st and 2nd fix, external timber cladding, cutting and raising of green oak frames as well as a variety of timber construction related tasks. Although most of our work is around London and the southwest of the UK, we do operate UK wide and usually work long hours. Applicants should be therefore be flexible on work hours and be able to travel and work away from home.
We offer training, competitive pay packages between £18 to £25 depending on experience, paid lunches, travel and accommodation. Overtime and weekend work is also available.
EU citizenship or dual passport would be of advantage as working abroad on occasion might be required. Position will be long term.
