We’re looking for a Caretaker to join our team working at Oldham Library. Within this role, you can enjoy family friendly policies, access to high street and trade discounts and even more.
Location: Oldham – Oldham Library
Contract: Permanent, part time 10 hours per week
Responsibilities
As a Caretaker you’ll be working within the team to maintain effective PFI Facilities Management delivery at our Oldham Library site.
Your day to day will include:
- Managing the site security and carrying out fire and safety precautions across multiple sites
- General building maintenance duties to ensure the site meets required standards including minor joinery repairs, minor plumbing repairs & grounds maintenance
- Responsible for locking and unlocking of grounds
- Emergency cleaning as required and other tasks relative to the skill level of the role
What are we looking for?
This role of Caretaker is great for you if:
- You have previous experience in a Caretaker, Handy person or Maintenance role
- You will engage in a positive manner and are able to conduct heavy lifting in line with manual safety handling training
- You should also be comfortable producing paperwork and information to be used for reporting
Due to the nature of the role you will also require a full driving license and be happy travelling across the county to different sites and be able to participate in the on-call rota system covering out of hours and weekends.
