Job description
Working on a 3-week rolling rota, will include some weekends.
Full driving UK licence required.
Job Purpose
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout all external areas of Meadowhall, including service areas and fire corridors.
Duties & Responsibilities
The following is a list of your primary duties and responsibilities. Please remember that you are part of a larger CCS at Meadowhall team that the list below is not exhaustive, and we should therefore be willing to help and assist all our colleagues in other teams within the business at any time.
· Segregation and recycling waste, separating general waste & food.
· Sweeping service areas and external litter picking.
· Cleaning windows and entrances as per schedule.
· Deep cleaning as per schedule and any other duties deemed appropriate to the skills of the individual to meet the business needs.
· Customer service, communication, and teamwork - recognising that the public, retail tenants and colleagues are all customers.
Communication and interpersonal skills
· Liaise and communicate with line managers and other operatives on day to day matters. Inform the line manager of any problems arising.
· Communication with customers and retailers if required for centre orientated questions and/or problems.
Problem solving and decision making
· Required to understand and apply departmental procedures and follow schedules.
· Required to understand and put into practice the safe operation of equipment and use of chemicals according to training undertaken and procedures provided.
· Report suspected pest infestation, machinery breakdowns or faults with building.
Working Conditions
Required to work externally in all conditions. May require occasional work in clearing snow and ice. Predominantly working externally and required to use equipment and chemicals. The role will require manual handling.
