About The Role
Sandbanks Day Centre provides a day care service for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and for older people living with the experience of Dementia. The service provides quality care to Hounslow residents and supports them to participate in meaningful activities which are tailored to meet their needs and wishes. The service empowers residents to meet their full potential, supports them to further develop their independence and ensures their dignity and safety.
It is important to us that our residents receive the best care available, which is why we are currently looking to recruit compassionate, energetic, motivated care workers who may have some experience of either informal caring or experience of caring in a workplace, to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. To act as a member of a team, providing care, social rehabilitation and physical and emotional care and support to residents in a day service setting working to care quality standards and departmental policies.
2. Taking a genuine interest in our residents you will be responsible for protecting their welfare and ensuring they are safeguarded from harm.
3. Lead and assist in the provision of daily meaningful activities for all residents.
4. To ensure all recording is accurate, timely and in line with policies and procedures.
5. To undertake escorting duties, supporting residents’ home on borough transport as required.
Your Skills:
1. Good communication using the English language. All documentation especially care plans, incident forms, medication records; are clear, concise, factual and accurate and completed in line with policies and procedures and in a timely manner.
2. Ability to think clearly, process information and prioritise duties.
3. Ability to implement and lead meaningful activities as part of our programme.
Desirable experience for the Role.
- Experience in supporting and caring for vulnerable adults either in a formal or informal care setting.
- Ideally hold a relevant health and social care qualification or have the ability to achieve all required care training requirements.
Qualifications:
NVQ level 2 or equivalent in adult care and support, or willingness to achieve such a qualification.
