We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Worker to join Be Caring.
Applicants must be based in North Tyneside, UK.
You will be recruited to a dedicated care team operating in:
- Chirton, North Shields (NE29)
Pay: £11.50 p/hr (drivers) / £10.75 p/hr (walkers)
- Mileage - 40p per mile for drivers / 15p per mile for cyclists
- Part-time hours available
- Bonus schemes*: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.
We are seeking to recruit Care Workers who can support two people at home, providing reablement, community support, and housework, improving their health and wellbeing at home. Currently, the support is provided Monday to Friday between 7:00am - 4:00pm in Chirton, North Shields (NE29)
As a Care Worker for Be Caring, we will work with you to agree your working hours to fit within, or are aligned to our shift patterns, which include early starts, late evenings and weekend work:
- Early shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm
- Late shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
As a Care Worker for Be Caring we will agree your working pattern, setting a 2-week rota which includes:
- Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday
- Evenings as agreed within your working hours

Job Description
If you have previous retail experience, you'll already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Home Care Assistant for Be Caring. Patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.
As a Care Worker working within Chirton, you will:
- Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
- Promote independence using enabling approaches.
- Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
- Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
- Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
- Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
Induction Training
We are looking for people with Be Caring values to join our team. For this role you do not need care experience, we recognise you will have many transferable skills from previous roles, for example as a shop assistant. We will provide the training you need to be an outstanding Care Worker.
As a Care Worker for Be Caring, you will be provided with comprehensive induction training on:
