Job description
We are currently seeking Residential care workers for our client in the Rugeley. Our client's home provides quality care for young people between the ages of 8-18 years with learning difficulties and/or behavioural challenges.
As a Residential Care Worker, you will provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment and care, support, and supervision to help the children and young people progress. This includes household tasks, cooking, shopping, laundry, and independent living skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Adhere to statutory and company policies and procedures.
- Be a Key Worker where designated and contribute to the child or young person’s plan.
- Work within the safeguarding and child protection guidelines.
- Work restoratively with the child or young person.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, school staff, and other professionals.
- Ensure young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive.
Person specifications:
- Evidence of successfully working with children and young people.
- High degree of resilience.
- Good communication skills.
- QCF Level 3 – Working With Children & Young People (or equivalent) is desirable.
- Driving Licence (manual) for a minimum of 2 years is desirable.
