Position: Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant
Location: Hill House, Sandbach, (Cheshire)
Working Hours: Occasional/Bank hours available. This is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary.
Day shifts, 07:15-14:45 or 14:30- 22:00. Long day shifts are also available.
About the Role: Hill House is a residence for 24 adults with physical disabilities located near Sandbach, Cheshire. As a Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant with Leonard Cheshire, your primary responsibility will be providing a high level of care and support to vulnerable individuals, enabling them to lead the life they choose. Your tasks will include assisting with daily activities such as personal care, administering medication, providing mealtime assistance, and encouraging active participation and choice-making among the residents.
Experience and Training: While previous experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Healthcare Assistant is desirable, it is not essential for the role. Leonard Cheshire offers an excellent training and induction program to ensure you are fully equipped for your new position.
Salary and Enhancements: The basic hourly rate for this position is £10.74 per hour. However, this rate can go up to £12.74 per hour with enhancements. If you work night shifts from 8 pm to 7 am (Monday to Sunday), you will receive a night enhancement of £1.50 per hour. For day shifts on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 7 am to 8 pm, a weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid. Please note that the night enhancement does not apply to sleep-ins.
