Care Support Worker - General acute

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust provides a wide range of hospital-based and community services across Worcestershire with specialist services including oncology, radiotherapy, stroke services and cardiac stenting. Nestled between Birmingham and the Cotswolds, with excellent road, bus and rail links, Worcestershire provides the opportunity to experience both city and country life

Locations covered: Alexandra Hospital and Worcester Royal Hospital

Band 2

Day Rate - £10.90 per hour

Night/Sat Rate - £15.37 per hour

Sun/Bank Holiday Rate - £19.95 per hour

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing
  • Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected
  • Implementing holistic, culturally sensitive, respectful, non-judgmental care from a pre-determined care plan for patients with a wide range of care needs

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

· An NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care Qualification or Care Certificate Qualification that has been obtained within the NHS

· A minimum of 6 months experience if one of the above qualifications is obtain, if not a minimum of 12 months is required.

· Undertake regular mandatory training
