Royal Berkshire Hospital are currently seeking a Care Support Worker with acute experience to work full time Monday – Friday 7am – 7.30pm until the end of December 2022.

What you’ll be responsible for
· Actively involve the patient in their own care, consulting and involving them in decision making regarding their care and well-being and recognising the importance of placing them at the centre of the health care system.
· Demonstrate understanding of fundamental legal practices related to consent and ensures consent is obtained prior to the delivery of care.
· Supports the Registered Practitioner in the delivery of culturally sensitive, respectful, non[1]judgemental patient care to maintain an environment where there is equal opportunity and commitment to anti-discriminatory, anti-racist and anti-stereotyping practices.
· Deliver high quality patient care in a caring, sensitive and compassionate manner, ensuring the patient’s privacy and dignity is respected and maintained at all times.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
You’ll have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 2 years plus a care certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in health and social care OR 12 months paid experience in an acute hospital environment in the last 3 years.
· Undertake regular mandatory training*
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
