CARE AND SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
£12.00 - £12.75 PER HOUR
£23,400 - £24,862 PER ANNUM
PERMANENT – FULL TIME – PART TIME

Based across 60 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, St Elizabeth's is a charity supporting children and young people aged 5 – 25 years old with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions, the severity of which impacts upon their health, social, behaviour, learning and emotional development. We provide support through holistic care, health and education services in a safe environment that enables vulnerable people to maximise their personal potential in all areas of life.
Your role as a Care & Support Worker
Working within either our Children’s Homes or Supported Living Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our children and young people have every opportunity to flourish in all aspects of life. You will ensure care, trust and fun are at the heart of our practice, enabling us to provide the highest standards of care and education to those that call St Elizabeth’s home. You will undertake tasks that are vital to a young person’s development, including but not limited to, ensuring a safe, secure and clean home environment, daily living support, promoting independence, personal care, food preparation, administering medication and promoting fun, social and learning activities.
What do I need to have?
If you are caring and passionate about working with children and young people, ideally with some previous experience of working in care or education, can commit to being dedicated, motivated and adaptable, then you are just the person we need!

We can offer you employment on a full-time or part-time basis. Shift times are: 7.00am or 7.15am – 2.45pm (early) or 2.15pm – 9.45pm (late)

- Two-week paid induction - including shadow shifts
- QCF enrolment – Level 3 in Residential Child Care (to be completed within 2 years if working in Children’s Homes)

Location
We are located in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire and are in easy reach of the M25, M11 and A10, although we are not on a public transport route. We do however have a subsidised staff transport service from Bishops Stortford, Harlow and Sawbridgeworth that runs in line with care staff shift patterns.
