Band 3 - Emergency Assessment Unit Care Support Worker
We are seeking to employ enthusiastic and dynamic Care Support Workers to join our team in the Emergency Assessment Unit (EAU) at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
We are expecting that the successful applicants will be proactive in the provision of high standard of care to patients in congruent with the trust’s core values.
The team in EAU care for those who are acutely unwell, support end of life care and care for a range of mental health patients working as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary teams including the Emergency Department and the Emergency Department Psychiatric Service (EDPS).

As a member of the team in this enhanced role you will:
- Support and work closely with registered practitioners to deliver a high standard of care to patients, families and their carers in a safe and supportive environment without the need for direct supervision.
- Work as part of the wider team in developing and maintaining
- Complete and maintain on an ongoing basis a generic and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or Care Certificate as required.
- Be motivated in order to review progress with Manager at regular intervals.
The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
