Sundays and bank holidays £20.03 per hour

Shakespeare Road Medical Practice is currently seeking Care Support Workers to join their team for a minimum of 12 weeks. There are various shifts patterns available on a full time and part time basis.

About the Trust
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, rated ‘Good’ in their most recent CQC report, provides a wide range of mental health, physical health and learning disability services across Hampshire. What you will be responsible for
· Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of patients working under indirect supervision of a registered nurse or other qualified practitioner.
· Observe, report and record changes in the patients’ physical and mental health.
· Give and receive clear messages by telephone and or personal contact.
· Provide escort duties to the patient under the direction of the nurse in charge.
· Undertake physical and mental health observations as directed by the registered nurse in accordance with individual care plans and in line with Trust Policy.
The role will involve, but not limited to you performing the above.
You will have the following qualification/experience:
· A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Acute hospital environment within the last 2 years plus a care certificate or NVQ Level 2 or above in health and social care OR 12 months paid experience in an acute hospital environment in the last 3 years.
· Undertake regular mandatory training*
*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
