We are seeking a reliable person to help support a young man in his early thirties, with an acquired brain injury, to be independent in his own home and be supported to access therapies and social events. This is a part - time role with flexible working patterns.
The client:
- A highly independent young man who is always thriving to become more independent and self-sufficient.
- A positive personality who can enjoy a serious conversation as well as a good laugh.
- Enjoys all things music also plays the guitar and keyboard.
- May get frustrated when not able to complete tasks for himself or not given the independence or right support to achieve such tasks.
- Able to walk with the support of a walking frame, working towards more frequent use of a single walking stick, uses an electronic wheelchair when outdoors.
The applicant:
- Must be able to cover a mixture of shifts Monday to Sunday: 9:00am – 3:00pm and 5:00pm to 9:00pm,
- Able and willing to work on alternate weekends
- Clean Driving Licence is essential
- Confident driver who is able or willing to learn how to drive the clients' automatic vehicle.
- Excellent observation, communication and reporting skills.
- Confident working within a multi-disciplinary team
- A good team player
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications for this role, however, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or with young Adults. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable with spending time in the company of others.

- Great rates of pay £10.50 - £11.00 per hour

- Paid travel: Between visits 35p per mile, during visits 45p per mile.
