Hurstway Nursing Home are looking for an experienced Administrator with a strong financial background looking to excel in a challenging and more rewarding position where you can truly make a difference, on a part time basis of two shifts per week/
The Administrator is a vital part of our team, providing the Registered Manager with the support they require to ensure the running of a high quality and commercially successful home.
Our Administrator is relied upon to ensure income and outgoings are timely, effective, and accurately recorded, so strong commercial acumen is key to this position.
NEED TO HAVE
- Good level of numeracy skills
- Experience in a care home setting is essential
- Sage Pay experience
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience within credit control, invoice chasing, purchase/sales ledgers, payroll, management accounts, this will include supporting our sister home with uploading and managing invoices for them
- Administration experience
- Proficient user of Microsoft- specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- AAT/NVQ Level 2 in Administration would be beneficial
- Willingness to adapt to all parts of the business
NEED TO DO
- Support the Registered Manager to provide accurate financial information to central accounts team
- Support with monthly payroll/ wages, ensure data and hours are inputted accurately each month
- Promote a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families, and Hurstway staff, this includes answering all queries via the phone.
- Complete employment checks and payroll for all new staff, supporting HR with these employment check including DBS checks.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude both over the telephone and in person
- Supervise and support all parts and running of the home
- Support with food orders from the kitchen, this includes ASDA food orders
- Oversee the holiday allowance, check holiday clashes and monitor all holidays/ sickness.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
