About the care home:
Care Centre in Rainham is a 62-room facility with the capability to cater to numerous care types, including elderly care, end of life care, respite care, nursing careand 24/7 residential care. Specialising in care for those with dementia, Alzheimer’sand other mental health issues, the care centre is dedicated to tailoring care to each resident.

The requirements:
· Experience one year in a similar role
· Be able to demonstrate interpersonal skills
· Have a genuine interest in working with our young people
· Will have a willingness to learn
· Be able to work 12-hour shifts which include evenings, weekends, bank holidays
· Be encouraged to work at all of our homes to gain experience working with different individuals in different environments
The successful CARE ASSISTANT will:
· Have proven knowledge and experience of working with people with behaviour that challenges. Most importantly we are looking for a CARE ASSISTANT to demonstrate the right values and understanding of how to support individuals with making informed decisions on their care and treatment.
You will need to demonstrate:
· A genuine desire to help people and make a difference
· A proven career history supporting young people with behaviour that challenges and experience working with autism desirable
· Have an understanding of the challenges that many of our young people face
· Excellent listening and communication skills
· Show empathy and compassion when required
· Offer flexibility
· A non-judgemental approach to providing care and support
· A current driving license and your own transport as this position will involve travelling
· Ability to work shifts, including sleep in
· Contracted hours
