The Salesian Sisters are a registered charity with an international congregation and are recruiting Care Assistants to join the small friendly team at Elmthorpe Convent.
£11.57 per hour and we are looking to recruit full time, part time and bank Care Assistants!
The convent in Cowley, Oxford is home to a small number of elderly Sisters and is managed by SJOG Hospitaller Services and we welcome all who wish to apply to work with us!
The successful candidates will be passionate about delivering excellent care, be empathetic and have good communication skills.
Essential Criteria:
- Ability to respond to guidance and direction
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to provide personal care
- Able to work flexible hours
- Participate where necessary in social activities, outings/holidays with people using the service
- Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability
- NVQ2 in care (or willingness to attain)
- Non-discriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people
