- Pay - £10.37 per hour
- Location – Sycamore House, Hull (As part of We Care Group, you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice)

Job Overview
As a HCA you will report directly to the senior in charge/nurse in charge/deputy and Home manager. You will be provided with suitable training and support in order to fulfil your role and you will receive a mentor system via one of your colleagues. There will be the opportunity for progression through NVQ routes moving to senior HCA, you may also even be offered support and trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner! Ultimately success in the role is knowing that your residents are well cared for and within a safe environment as well as your own professional development.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Job
- Assisting residents with their day to day personal care, washing, dressing, oral hygiene
- Assisting with meals/drinks to support our residents overall nutrition
- Engaging with residents who wish to take part in social and recreational activities
- Supporting the Seniors/Nursing staff and Home Manager with jobs as necessary
- Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns
- Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
- Respect residents dignity and respect
- Provide companionship
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes.
- Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments.
- Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
Personal Responsibilities
Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management
(Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)

Part-time hours: 22 per week
Salary: £10.37 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Experience:
- HCA: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ in Health and Social Care (preferred)
