Job description
We are recruiting for dedicated and committed Healthcare Assistants to work flexibly for us Nationally within the Prison Service.
You will deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
You must be able to drive and have use of a car, applicants need to have a clear DBS and be prepared to go through prison security clearance.
Shifts are : 8am to 12 noon and 3pm to 6pm
Pay rate : £11.00 per hour Monday to Friday , £11.50 per hour weekends
To be able to work every other weekend
The prisons we cover are HMP Leyhill, HMP Eastwood Park and HMP Ashfield
THE ROLE
Treat Service Users with respect at all times
- Support individuals with their personal hygiene and appearance
- Maintain a safe environment for staff and Service Users
- Feedback any necessary information to the person in charge
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Protecting the confidentiality of all Service Users
- To recognise signs of abuse and immediately report through the necessary channels.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- Experience of caring either in a personal or professional capacity
- Must be reliable
- Must be resilient and also compassionate
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to drive and have use of car
