Home Care Assistant – Scope to develop Complex Skills
Northampton – £10.82 per hour – Weekly Pay
Part Time Hours; 1 waking night per week ( either a Monday or Tuesday) 7pm – 7am
Are you currently working within care and would like to develop your skills and move towards complex care?
We have an exciting vacancy within the local Northampton area for a Care Assistant to join our team and develop their care skills, working alongside our Branch Nurses and Care Staff with opportunity to progress. We are currently looking for a care assistant to visit our service user and assist them with medication and night time support. In addition, this individual would have the opportunity to develop skills in areas of low-level clinical skills with further scope to train within more complex care.
Experience working within care is essential for this role. You would be supporting this indiviual to live independently within their own homes, on a part time basis, and would have consistent shifts to encourange a good rapport.
Your role will include:
- Prompting and administering medication
- Helping with the preparation of meals and drinks
- Assisting with activities of daily living such as personal care
- Maintaining and updating reports such as care plans
- Undertaking training for Complex Care Interventions – this could lead to further training to support individuals who require Suctioning, Ventilation and PEG

- Paid previous experience as a care assistant is essential

Six months’ paid experience in care such as a care assistant, domiciliary carer, support worker, personal healthcare assistant, care worker or similar advantage but not essential
