Job description
An opportunity to make a real difference working in care.
At Martha Trust Hereford Ltd we provide lifelong care for individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities in our two, purpose built, nursing homes in the beautiful county of Herefordshire.
Our main priority for recruitment is to find people with the values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own. Are you caring, patient, kind and keen to improve lives? If so get in touch!
Each home has 14 residents and a high staff to resident ratio, ensuring the highest standards of care. The manager and deputy for each home are registered nurses, providing a superbly supportive environment for the whole care team. We also have our own therapy team consisting of Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, music and aromatherapy specialists.
We are looking for carers who want to make each day enjoyable for the residents, a happy carer means the residents have a lovely day. Our residents are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such, however, as a general guide during the day, duties may include some support with personal care needs, you could take your resident for a session in the hydrotherapy pool, have fun in the sensory rooms, take part in craft work activities, attend music sessions, watch the footie and other sports on TV or pop into town shopping, or for a cup of coffee. When the weather is good trips to the seaside, cinema, garden centre or other local attractions take place to make the most of each day. All this will help to build strong relationships with each individual resident.
Our mission is to provide a home away from home for our residents. Work for us and be part of a dedicated team. Feel valued, appreciated and respected and make a real difference to fulfilling the lives of our residents. You do not need to have previous experience or qualifications to work for us as we will provide all the necessary training to enable you to care for the residents.
What is stopping you from working for us give it a go you have nothing to lose and the opportunity to do something worthwhile for someone who needs your help and support. You could progress to be a senior care assistant or in the future train to be a nurse. Go on give us a call, have a chat and start the next stage in your life.
