Shifts: 09:00-19:00 Monday to Thursday, 09:00-21:00 Friday and 09:00-16:00 Saturday and nights 21:00-07:00

Part of the City & County Healthcare group, ICCM provides highly trained care teams for individuals who live within their own homes. We specialise in nurse-led care for adults and children with a range of disabilities such as spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, Multiple Sclerosis and Muscular Dystrophy
The role
We are looking for Care Assistants to work with a young lady with a genetic neurological and developmental disorder. The role is varied and consists of supporting our client with daily tasks, including all elements of personal care, administering medication and ensuring routines are followed.
Aside from the clinical aspects of care, you will also be there to provide the client with enrichment and make her days positive and enjoyable. This involves going to a youth centre 3 days a week which allows her to socialise with friends and take part in group activities. This role involves plenty of time out and about, including walks to the park and the zoo, even days out to the cinema and the aquarium, ensuring that the day is as fun as possible!
The person:
Experience in supporting people with similar needs and an understanding of person-centred practice would be wonderful but isn't crucial as full training and supervision is provided. You will need to be empathetic, a team player, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable using your initiative.
You will be someone who is cheerful, respectful, patient and who wants to make a real difference in your role.
