Job description

Be Appreciated as a Care Worker

Are you looking for a rewarding career that really makes a difference to people’s lives?

We are looking for special individuals to join our team. If you can put a smile on our customers face with your warm personality, then we want to hear from you.

At Caremark we invest time and training in our staff to enable them to develop their careers. Our employee’s well-being and happiness is as important to us as it is to you. This enables us to retain our staff, something we are very proud of, so in turn we can provide the very best of care to our customers.

If you are looking for an employer who cares about you come join our award-winning family at Caremark.

I’m interested, what’s the role?

If you enjoy meeting people, then this won’t feel too much like work.

You will be responsible for meeting the support requirements of our customers, in a way that is respectful of the individual and promotes their independence (all in the training). You are expected to travel to the customer’s home and assist them with daily tasks laid out in the Care Plan (all in the handover and supported by ongoing supervision).

The type of support that you provide is no different to what would reasonably be given by a member of the person’s family. For instance, you may be providing help with bathing and dressing or maybe preparing a tasty meal.

Your role will include helping customers with tasks such as:

  • Help with washing & dressing.
  • Shopping & meal preparation
  • Prompting and assisting with medication.
  • Support with daily routines
  • Respite services

  • Self-motivated, well-organised & reliable
  • Caring and sensitive
  • Flexible
  • Committed to maintaining our high standards of care.
  • Good communicator

What are the benefits?

  • Base pay starts from £10.50 rising to £17.50 per hour depending on shifts
  • 40p per mile (mileage)
  • 28 days paid holiday.
  • Regular allocation to customers
  • Full induction and training
  • Free Uniform
  • Ongoing training, development, support and supervision.
  • The opportunity to study for a NVQ Level 2 or 3 and other specialised training.
