Semper Care is an established domiciliary care provider based in Bradford and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in enabling our service users to maintain their independence as much as possible as well as investing in the personal and professional development of our staff.
We provide all required training for FREE. We also provide one to one guidance for staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Shift patterns:
3 nights per week, 2 during the week (to be confirmed) and Sunday night8pm-8am.
The role is working with a female client who is living in her own flat, she has learning disabilities and requires prompting for a lot of tasks.
Job responsibilities:
· To assist service user in their own home with general day to day tasks such as personal care, washing and dressing, meal preparation, assisting with medications and accessing the community.
· Report any incidents or concerns to management and follow protocol as specified in the policies and procedures.
· Befriending the service user to a professional capacity, understanding their needs and helping them to become more independent.
Essential Requirements:
· A genuine desire to help others.
· Good communication skills. The ability to understand and respond to verbal and nonverbal communications.
· Ability to remain calm and manage situations effectively in any time of crisis.
· Continuity in carrying out good practice.
· Flexible and adaptable.
· Driving license and use of a vehicle for work.
· Communicating in a friendly inpatient manner.
Desirable Requirements:
· NVQ level 2 in health and social care.
· Training and experience in working with individuals with challenging behaviour.
· Counselling skills.
