WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Cardnet is Lloyds banking Group’s card payment acceptance service. We help businesses to take payment by credit or debit card in person, online and when the cardholder is not present. Cardnet is a joint venture between Lloyds Banking Group and Fiserv. Fiserv are one of the world’s largest card processors.
In joining Cardnet's Merchant Services Portfolio Team as a Strategic Relationship Manager, you'll be responsible for promoting the growing range of products and services provided by Cardnet – with a specialist focus on Payment Service Provider (PSP) opportunities directly across our Portfolio of existing SME & Mid Corp customers. You'll be responsible for establishing, managing, and developing long term profitable relationships with these clients providing excellent customer service and maximising business opportunities.
In this field based role, no two weeks are the same. You'll use your exceptional self-motivation and determination to effectively schedule your own time to meet your varied commitments.
Initially the role will be to support the growth and retention of Non-Cardnet PSP using merchants across the Managed Portfolio working in collaboration with the current relationship managers by:
  • Attending client meetings to provide PSP sales and technical expertise in collaboration with relationship managers.
  • Coaching to embed Ecommerce and PSP knowledge and confidence across the 3 Portfolio Teams
  • Work closely and collaboratively with our product teams to support delivery of key client solutions
  • Relationship Manage key PSP merchants as we build out the portfolio.

What You'll Need:
You'll have excellent negotiation abilities along with a real determination to deliver. Using your customer focused approach, you'll ensure that doing the right thing for customers is at the heart of all your recommendations and decision making. Also bringing along:
  • Extensive experience in development & delivery of PSP switcher opportunities for both Ecommerce and F2F merchant solutions.
  • Full and extensive specialist knowledge of card acquiring payment and data solutions.
  • Working knowledge of acquiring schemes, their drivers, industry dynamics, interchange, and future product service deliverables.
  • An up to date knowledge of Industry related technical development.
  • Knowledge of relevant third party suppliers (e.g. technology) and partners.
  • Total awareness of the interests and relationships in existence within any prospective client.
  • An exceptional profit performance record, ideally within a Client Development/Relationship Management environment.
  • Validated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrable success rate in negotiating at the highest level.
