Car Sales and Marketing Assistant
Location – Adam Bede Motor Company, Derby Road, Wirksworth, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 4BG
Terms – Full or Part Time applications considered (Opening hours: Monday - Friday 9am – 5.30pm & Saturday 9am - 4.00pm) Hours will be arranged on a rota basis.
Salary – £20,380 – 25,195 (full-time) depending on age, experience and agreed working pattern
Expected Start Date – as soon as possible
Job Description
We currently have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join our small team at Adam Bede Motor Company. We run a family car sales business in Wirksworth near Matlock. Working for a small company means that you will gain experience all aspects of the business. This means that you will be involved in the sales process from start to end. Much of the time will be spent preparing the cars for sale e.g. washing, cleaning, valeting, polishing. Each vehicle has to be immaculate before it can be advertised for sale. You will be responsible for photographing, listing the features of each vehicle and advertising them on the website and other platforms. We sell vehicles to customers locally and across the UK and our customer service sets us aside from others. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills, and eye for detail, someone who takes pride in their work, doesn’t settle for second best and has a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
1. To communicate and liaise with customers via telephone, email and face to face
2. Preparing the vehicles in readiness for sale (including washing / cleaning / valeting / polishing)
3. Photographing and videoing vehicles for sale
4. Online advertising each vehicle on multiple platforms
5. Maintenance and growth of our website and social media sites
6. Arranging test-drives and accompanying customers
7. Negotiate with customers to finalise the sale of the vehicle
8. Arranging finance products and extended warranties
9. To appraise part-exchange vehicles in a professional manner and agree a valuation with the Sales Manager
10. Collecting cars from various locations in the UK
11. General office duties such as photocopying, scanning and printing.
Essential Candidate Requirements
1. Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence and due to insurance restrictions, you must be aged 21 or over
2. Excellent customer service and communication skills
3. IT literate with a good understanding of social media
4. A keen eye for detail and a desire to maintain the highest standards
5. Willingness to work outside throughout the year
Desirable Characteristics
1. GCSEs A*-C in English and Maths
2. Experience in a customer focused role
3. Sales experience
