Capital Markets - Summer Internship
Location: London
Start date: July 2023
Programme duration: 6 weeks
What this job involves:
During this 6-week programme, you will be joining a team of ca.300+ highly experienced professionals, combining our market leading Capital Markets team with complex transaction expertise. Being involved in a diverse range of different projects, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable first-hand experience of working with top executives in the sector and develop a wide network of contacts as a stepping stone for a career on the fast lane. You’ll gain a through grounding in all aspects of Capital Markets and will benefit from some of the best technical, professional and client-skills training around.
If you show strong potential during the programme, then you could be fast-tracked for a graduate offer to join our Capital Markets business after your studies.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Complex project execution across a wide range of products as a fully client-facing team member, where you will be expected to lead and manage project workstreams
Support the Capital Markets business to provide market analysis, JLL performance statistics, underbidder analysis and presentations
Production of client materials to support buyside opportunities including cashflows, buyside report and other analysis
Tracking of investor / marketing lists and production of client reports
Support senior manager by providing client intelligence, contribute to the development of our Client Relationship Management initiative, to include creating investor profiles in our CRM system (Salesforce) to maintain the team’s investor lists up to date (to include meeting notes, press, conferences)
General transactional support
Development of proprietary sector know-how, closely following development in the real estate sector, thereby developing a fundamental understanding of the sector.
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
Commercial awareness, sound judgement and a strategic mind. Strong interest in commercial property.
Enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn from top professional in the sector.
Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to prepare client presentations in a clear and compelling manner
Strong attention to detail and always checks work to ensure high levels of accuracy
European languages are a benefit but not a requirement
Required Skills and Experience:
GCSEs – C / 4 grade or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Degree – On track to receive a 2:1 or above in any bachelor’s degree in any subject
