Job Title: Capital Management Actuary
Reporting to: Group Chief Actuary
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Hybrid: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home

Job Purpose:
To support the business leadership deliver the business plan sustainably over the medium term by ensuring that regulatory capital requirements are anticipated well in advance. To build reciprocal relations.
Key Responsibilities:
To produce prospective forecasts of regulatory capital requirements over the medium term.- To build key internal relationships in order to identify options and initiatives to support the business anticipate regulatory capital requirements in the context of group goals.
- To take a lead in setting the agenda and personally participating in the Capital Management Oversight Committee – a formal sub-committee of the International Group’s Board.
- To identify and participate in related capital and reserving initiatives.
- To invest in and develop their professional reputation with external parties e.g. regulators on capital matters.
Skills and Experience Specification:
Essential:
- A qualified actuary with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
- An individual with proven experience of operating in a flat management structure in a manner that supports effective delivery of the annual plan and related initiatives.
Desirable:
- Experience gained either in a consultancy, or prior executive roles, in successful collaboration across functions including finance, reserving and capital functions.
- Ability to make compelling presentations with a supporting fact base to foster and achieve cross business support for options and developments.
- Some familiarity of Specialty lines and/or experience of London Market and/or Lloyd’s businesses.
