This role is responsible for the oversight and management of the £0.25bn of capex we need to control, the 4x productivity we need to achieve and the requirements to drive and track that as an efficiency measure, better financial control and management of key 3rd party costs
What you’ll be doing
- Owns and represents CDO at all key forums regarding CDO Consumer CAPEX spend (inc Consumer investment board, CDO bookend. LT meetings)
- Accountable for CDO Consumer CAPEX spend oversight, control and approval (CIB)
- Accountable for CDO Consumer input into CEO bookends
- Works with Consumer and CDO stakeholders to drive strategic investment prioritisation, CAPEX spend optimisation and Cost Transformation efficiencies
- Provides forecasting and reporting, driving transparency and accountability on CDO spend (down to OUC level)
- Leads the definition and delivery of best in class CAPEX management practices (reconciliation, reporting, assurance) across CDIO (initially CDO then beyond)
- Forecast and Spend MI reporting
- Sets the working principles for
- How we report and manage both our opex and our capex spend within CDO,
- How we cross charge squads in capex against our company priorities,
- How we see and manage cost / spend (the squad model),
- Owning and controlling the definition of which roles / squads are opex vs capex
- Sets principles and supports supplier / MSP reconciliation, forecasting and spend optimisation
- Ownership and reconciliation of Org design costs and spend across CDO with in year spend and MTP
