Job description
The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) is an evolving service available to certain schools in the Nottinghamshire locality. We have been a trailblazer site for the project and have been the first site nationally to have an operational team in 2019.
There are 4 full time Trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) in the team. These vacancies are available within the existing team for the Mansfield & Ashfield locality.
Successfulcandidateswill be required to attend a virtual 12 month training programme with theUniversity of Exeter.
We are an early intervention well-being service aimed at providing support for children young people and families around low-level emotional well-being needs, such as anxiety, low mood, managing emotions, and sleep.
We link in directly with Nottinghamshire CAMHS teams and provide 'in school' sessions to promote a positive mental health. The schools included in this project will have a designated Mental Health Lead, who can refer directly into the MHST service.
We work closely alongside these staff so we support them in creating a whole school approach to mental health. This Trainee EMHP role requires successful candidates to attend University and complete aPost Graduate Diploma qualification of a CYP IAPT approved training in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People (C&Y IAPT).
