And now..we are looking for a Supervisor to join our team!
The principal responsibilities of the position are to supervise the team members and maintain a clean and presentable environment within the cafe daily, to support the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, as well as the responsibilities listed below.
Previous experience in a supervisor/leadership/management role would be preferred but not essential, some cafe/bar experience would be helpful, but also not essential as training will be provided. The position is for full time only, with flexibility regarding days off, and at least one weekend off a month or more.
Job Responsibilities:
- Normal Barista/Barman/maid Responsibilities – preparation of all food and beverages; ensuring the café is clean and tidy at all times; maintaining good customer service and nurturing friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty.
- Supervise, manage and direct team members when on shift and ensure all company procedures and policies are adhered to.
- Oversee scheduling of team members and be able to quickly find replacements in the event of team member absences.
- Allocating workloads to team members.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory and maintain a record of daily expenses, ensuring adherence to budget.
- Training of new team members.
- Adhere to statutory obligations and agreed guidelines, i.e. Liquor Licence.
- Placing orders for new stock and handling the deliveries of said products, ensuring they are put away correctly.
- Overseeing and coordinating events.
- Investigating and resolving customer complaints, advising the team on best practice, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.
- In the absence of the General and Assistant General Manager, ensuring that events are ran smoothly, everything is set up and the team is briefed.
- Effective liaison, support and assistance of your General and Assistant General Manager, and the remainder of the organisation.
- A love for theatre is ESSENTIAL!
