Job description
The Kitchen Garden Cafe and Fletchers Bar is looking for new general assistant to join their team! A successful candidate with have a professional work ethic and a desire to provide excellent customer service at all times.
We are located in the south of Birmingham, just off of Kings Heath high street. . We are a multi-purpose space that transforms from a cafe - pop-up restaurant - gig venue - events - arts space so you will have lots to experience.
- Previous cafe/waiting/bar/events experience is desired but not necessary.
- Candidates must have a positive attitude towards work and be both flexible and adaptable.
- Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced working environment whilst maintaining high standards and excellent customer service.
- this role requires late finishes, sometimes as late as 2 am
Part-time/full-time /Permanent roles are available.
Both daytime and evening shifts are available.
Responsibilities
- Jointly responsible for ensuring Kitchen Garden Cafe is run to a consistent high standard and that all products and services are professionally delivered.
- Responsible for presentation and upkeep of public areas and maintaining cleanliness throughout the cafe.
- Restocking produce.
- Responsible for ensuring all customers feel welcomed; are looked after and enjoy their visit.
- Jointly responsible for the development and promotion of Café/Bar
- Helps with Special/Seasonal promotions in order to maximise sales.
- Ensures customer dissatisfaction and complaints are dealt with in a prompt and appropriate manner.

Events Staff roles include:
-Strong organisational& admin skills
-Flexibilty with weekends& evening work
-Comfortable using social media & helping create content
-Engaging with clients, liaising with them to create their desired bespoke event
-Willingness to work as part of a team and provide clear, concise instructions to help host the best possible event
-Keen eye for detail & love for all things events!!
-Hospitality or sales experience preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £10.42-£11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
