Cafe Chef (vegetarian / vegan food)
Salary negotiable Dependant upon experience
Full time/ Part Time from 25 to 40 hrs over 7 days a week
May include Saturday or Sunday
Location: Middlesbrough town centre
Lucky Cat Boba is a vibrant, friendly and fun cafe located in the heart of Middlesbrough town centre. We offer an exciting range of Bubble Teas, freshly ground coffee, Ice creams, Sundaes, Bubble Waffles and Pancakes. We want to expand our food selection to include Breakfast, Brunch and Light bites. It is important to us to provide an enticing selection of vegetarian and vegan food which is absolutely delicious and can be enjoyed by all.
Role:
- The preparation and presentation of meals at the required times to the correct specifications.
- Assist management when required to create and plan menus.
- Assist with stock ordering and receiving, checking, and storing deliveries as requested.
- To operate a cost-effective stock rotation system to minimise wastage.
- Ensure all relevant kitchen documents are up to date including allergen, temperatures & delivery record sheets.
- Comply with all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH Requirements.
- To assist in organising functions / events & promotions when needed
- To assist the management to monitor the performance of kitchen support staff and provide training and coaching as necessary
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH
- Happy to work as part of a team
- Experience working in a similar cafe environment with fresh food
- Experience with vegetarian / vegan food
We would consider candidates looking for part-time or permanent opportunities. The cafe is open 7 days a week during daytimes and the working hours would be in accordance with the staff rota.
Salary: £9.00-£12.00 per hour
