The Role & Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a cleaner to join our team at Kearsney Café – part of the Dover District Council’s Catering Team.
Our ideal candidate will support the team in keeping the cafes cleanliness levels high, including the patio area surrounding the cafe.
Duties will include sweeping, vacuuming and mopping of the customer areas of the café, keeping the patio area of the café clean and tidy, cleaning the toilet and welfare areas on a regular basis in line with current guidelines and help with a deep clean of the café as required.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Kearsney Abbey, the café is a wonderful place for people come to enjoy the scenery whilst enjoying great food.
The Dover District Council Area is part of South East England that is nearest to mainland Europe. The area covers approximately 121 square miles and includes three main towns, Dover, Deal and Sandwich as well as dozens of picturesque villages and hamlets which make East Kent such and attractive and popular place to live and work.
The Dover District is steeped in history, with the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, several castles including Lord Warden of Cinque Ports residence and Walmer Castle. As well as the coastline, the District has wonderful countryside, lush valleys and beautiful parks and gardens.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone having a friendly and helpful nature with a willingness to work as part of a team, as well as a good timekeeper who is honest, reliable and enthusiastic.
This is a full-time role with the café open 7 days a week. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
