We are recruiting! Come join us at the Edinburgh Press Club Café

Who we are:
The Edinburgh Press Club is a 40-cover coffee shop located on Cockburn Street in the old town of Edinburgh.

It is conveniently located within minutes from the Castle and all major attractions; this busy fast-paced coffee shop is great fun to work in.

This is really an exciting time to join and be part of a growing quality brand.

Great prospects for like-minded hospitality professionals with a can-do attitude, outgoing personality, and a desire to work in a friendly, energised and supportive environment.

An experienced Barista, with a passion for coffee, you will be someone who is highly motivated, focused on understanding the customer and developing your skills in a structured manner.

Previous experience in working to high service levels would be a distinct advantage in a similar environment or quality hospitality background, but we do not insist on it and offer a full training programme for everyone.

Who we are looking for:

You will be highly motivated, focused on getting it right first time, able to demonstrate experience of approach to working with people.
You will have ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team, demonstrating commitment to group objectives.
You will have an anti-discriminatory attitude, ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in a variety of situations.
You will be committed to provide a culture of safety, fairness and inclusiveness; commitment to continuous personal and professional development and willingness to learn and accept new ideas.
You will work effectively under pressure, meeting timescales and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

You will have high standards of cleanliness and will be tidy and organised.

What we offer:
This role comes with a hourly pay of £10.50, the role may be full or part-time to best suit your needs, up to 40 hours contracted weekly, and the contract is permanent, subject to a three-months probation period.
Additionally, the Company provides several benefits to its staff:

- Very high degree of flexibility: we will always do our best to accommodate your requests to be off to best suit your work-life balance
- High availability in overtime: if you wish to boost your earnings
- Chances to further your career: promotions, lateral moves, twists, to make your job more interesting and undertake new challenges and responsibilities
- Company pension
- Accident and death insurance: in and outside work
- Employee Assistance Programme: includes financial support & wellbeing counseling
- Fully funded learning for staff, in collaboration with Edinburgh College and other UK entities
- Referral scheme: bring your friends to us and earn a bonus
