Cafe Assistant
We’ve opened our second café at Fulbourn Resource Centre. It is a beautiful new space with a well fitted new kitchen. We also have roles at our original cafe on Mill Road. For an informal chat please call Sarah, Cafe Manager on 07940 468478
We are currently looking for someone to join our unique team, someone who understands the complexities of working with our diverse staff and volunteers, many of whom will have experience of recovery.
This is a unique opportunity to not only progress your catering career but also to work on a care giving aspect be it to our volunteer work force or the customers we attract through our recovery work.
Can you multi task and juggle the demands of running a commercial café whilst supporting staff and volunteers to deliver high standards? Attention to detail is essential whilst keeping an eye on the café and spotting opportunities to develop and extend the work of The EDGE with partners? Are you commercially savvy whilst also ready to live the values of The EDGE Café to support and provide a space in which everyone is welcome?
You will work at both Cafés enjoying the established clientele at The EDGE on Mill Road as well as helping our new Café @ Fulbourn develop through the first year and into the next.

Duties will include:
- Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area
- Provide great customer service and be aligned to our values
Experience:
- Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not required. Your passion for helping us to deliver our mission needs to shine. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality food and beverage service to our customers. Your attention to detail, ability to multitask, and positive attitude will contribute to the overall success of our cafe.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-37 per week
Salary: From £10.90 per hour
