Job description
We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Loughborough branch for a part time Cafe Assistant to work between Monday to Friday and Saturdays half a day. The ideal candidate will have a welcoming personality and be a good communicator.
Cafe opening hours are 8am – 3pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 1pm, Saturdays. These hours are covered by two people splitting the shift between them. This will be discussed with you at the interview stage.
What will I do on a daily basis?
- To place food orders with various suppliers on a weekly basis
- Checking deliveries have been made correctly
- Prepare hot & cold food and drinks to eat in and take away
- Serve customers, taking orders, using the till, serving tables
- Clearing and cleaning tables. All kitchen cleaning daily duties.
- Ensuring the whole café area is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Restocking shelves using rotation method, checking dates to reduce wastage.
- Maintaining health and safety standards and food safety standards
- Cash up and complete the end of day reports
- Ensure the smooth running of the café
The Sandicliffe cafe is open to the general public, customers and to our employees and offers complimentary tea and coffee to customers who are visiting the branch to make a new purchase or if they are waiting for a service or repair.
