We aim to inspire, provide and produce the best of local and beyond. We are passionate about our food, coffee and great customer service. Established in 2007, the group now operates 4 farm shops and cafes. Our shops offer easy access to; fresh local produce and the best staple and culinary delights. Our flagship stores have a restaurant / café and Cobbs Farm Shop has its own production kitchen, which provides freshly made produce for the rest of our sites. The group continues to grow both at its established shops and with new shop openings, centred in South East England within the next few years.
The Job
You will work within our bustling café and Play barn café at Cobbs At Hungerford. You will be part of a small team selling and serving coffee, lunch and snacks with exceptional customer service at all times.
As a café assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Taking customer orders and serving food and drinks
- Preparing and packaging food for takeout orders
- Clearing and cleaning tables and cutlery
- Maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the cafe
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
To be a successful cafe assistant, you will need:
- A positive and outgoing personality
- Good communication and listening skills
- The ability to work well in a team and under pressure
- A basic food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- A flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
