Avonline Networks have an exciting opportunity for a Cabling Engineer to join our team in the North East, reporting to a Regional Delivery Manager.

Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to businesses across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS.
We are looking for a cabler to be part of our North East Morpheus team in the UK.
The role & responsibilities:
As a Cabling Engineer you will be working on internal cabling, CATV, Copper and Fibre Optic network infrastructures. The role due to the fluidity of projects may require travelling around the full North East region.
You will:
- Testing customer ducts.
- Installation of cables, sub duct and blown fibre tubing into underground ducts.
- Internal cabling.
- CAB builds such for FTTP and CATV Cabs.
- Jointing of Blown Fibre Tubing and Sub Ducts.
- Blowing of fibre Bundles in tubing.
- Reading of Network Maps and drawings.
- Working as part of a team.
- Own Health and Safety and awareness of others.
- NRSWA signing lighting and Guarding.
- Processing of required paperwork.
- Cover Emergency Response Jobs.
What we need from you.
- Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry working on external networks, preferably on the BT or Virgin media networks.
- The successful candidate should have engineering experience as a Cabling engineer working on CATV, Copper and Fibre Optic network infrastructures.
- Experience working within a site
- Practical experience working on external networks.
- Overall Knowledge of Telecoms networks
- Can maintain Quality standards both practically doing the job and adherence to customer processes.
- Awareness of Customer Satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
- Accepts and stimulates change within working environment
- PIA Accreditation and NRSWA (Preferred)
- Clean driving License (Essential)
This role fits within Avonline's Virgin Media Client contract and will work collaboratively with the client co-ordinator, cabling and civils supervisors
