Located on the edge of the Cotswolds at the stunning Heath Farm, David Barbour Joinery is a traditional joinery company that has been producing high quality joinery and wooden furniture for over 30 years. We pride ourselves in harnessing and developing traditional skills together with sustainability and sourcing as locally as possible to produce beautiful items of bespoke joinery and cabinet making.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an energetic and enthusiastic joiner to join our workshop team based in between Banbury & Chipping Norton. Experience working in the joinery industry would be ideal together with a willingness to learn and develop personal skills.
Job description
Bench Joiner - Cabinet Maker
Bench Joiner/Cabinet maker needed for small rural bespoke joinery business producing top quality furniture, cabinets, staircases, doors and windows using traditional methods.
The applicant will need to be familiar with high end joinery/cabinet work, have a knowledge of woodworking machinery, have a passion for timber manufacturing, have an eye for detail and the ability to work to high standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in cabinet making / Woodwork
- To be confident with fixed woodworking machinery and hand tools
- understand working drawings
- ability to work to cutting lists and checked off correctly
- A good understanding of English and communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- To be well organised and display good time management
- be able to work independently and as part of a team
- To have an excellent attention to detail
- To be able to take on verbal and written instruction
- To have pride in your work and our products
- To be Self-motivated, have self-discipline and persistence.
- Willingness to grow and develop within the company.
- Hard worker that pushes to get things done and strives for perfection.
- Driving License & own transport essential
Wage: £13.00- £17.00 per hour dependent on experience. Profit share bonus at end of year.
