THE ROLE: As part of a team, responsible for Carriage Cleaning of ScotRail vehicles to the prescribed standards. Experience in cleaning or any type of vehicle presentation is desirable.
THE PERSON: Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team, and be able to recognise the customers’ needs, whilst showing individual initiative.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Awareness of COSHH and basic Health & Safety is desirable, although training will be provided in the necessary safety procedures. The ability to drive is desirable.
OTHER INFORMATION: 35-hour week. This post is constant nightshift and includes weekend working. Previous nightshift experience preferred.
We offer an attractive reference salary of £31,519 per annum on completion of training. The trainee salary is £30,369 per annum.

Selection process: Short-listed candidates will be invited to complete online assessments and if successful be asked to attend an interview. The final stage will be a Personal Track Safety Medical which is essential due to the walking route. Appointees must submit at least two satisfactory references, Disclosure Scotland clearance and complete a six-month probation period. Training initially involves a 2-day on-line Induction training programme.
