About the role


Balfour Beatty has a fabulous opportunity for a Buyer Coordinator to join our expanding residential housing developer, Balfour Beatty Homes to work in Maxim Business Park, Eurocentral, Scotland.

Balfour Beatty Homes operate in the central belts of Scotland and England. Continuously opening new developments throughout these geographical areas, managed from our two regional offices; Motherwell and Kettering.

As a Buyer Coordinator you will be responsible for several adhoc duties within a busy environment, ensuring the department’s day to day activities run smoothly and efficiently.


What you'll be doing


Some key areas will include: -

  • Raising orders on Eque2 system
  • Record and issue orders (once approved) to supply chain
  • Liaising with site teams to ensure consistent receipt of Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
  • Checking invoices against GRNs and orders and resolving queries with suppliers / subcontractors
  • Monitor receipt of all Applications and Invoices and distribute as necessary for checking or adding onto payment system
  • Maintain all inputs on the 3pdd register including insurances, SSIP and subcontractor expiry dates
  • Setting up new suppliers on payments system and MIS system
  • Obtain, log and distribute risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) as necessary for formal review and approval
  • Record and issue Tender Information along with all drawings and drawing updates to supply chain

  • ability to manage multiple work streams to deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Software competence including MS Word and Excel
  • A confident individual, with an ability to form effective relationships with partners

  • Experience of Site stream Management Information System
  • Ideally experience in a similar role within a busy environment
