Are you an experienced administrator with good attention to detail? We are currently recruiting for a Buying Assistant to provide efficient and effective administrative support to our Buying team. You will be working closely with the Buyers to ensure the smooth running of all administrative related tasks for the product area. The ideal candidate will be methodical in their approach will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for our product and be willing to take a hands-on approach. Full training will be given, but a good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for callers to the department
- Ensuring all relevant procedures are followed and appropriate paperwork completed in relation to products and suppliers (Full training will be given)
- Producing key sales reports for Junior Buyer's and above, using Excel.
- Supporting buyers with samples and assisting with product selection process.
- Liaising with suppliers to collect data and product information for our website.
- Completing regular comp shops both online and visiting competitor stores.
- Delivering accurate information in a timely manner
- Organising and working to deadlines
- In this role you will learn the key basics of buying, so it’s a great first step for anyone who wants a longer-term career in buying.
