Buyer (Manufacturing) Hendon, London £30,000 - £40,000 + Pension + 20 Days Holiday (increases with service) + Bank Holidays + Annual Bonus + Workwear Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm & Friday, 8am to 2pm Buyer required for a family owned and progressive manufacturer producing sports equipment. This is a varied and challenging role offering progression into a Purchasing Manager. To apply for the role you need experience in a buying/purchasing role within engineering/manufacturing. You also need to have experience sourcing new suppliers and have excellent relationship building skills. The role is varied and eventually you will be the prime purchaser for the organisation purchasing a vast array of materials and services. You will be responsible for loading orders, creating BOM, checking progress and verifying goods received. Once you are settled in the role you will take on additional tasks such as system integration, sourcing new suppliers, negotiations etc. This is an ideal for those seeking a role where you add value, take on more responsibilities and progress. The Buyer Role in Brief: · Purchasing materials and services for the company through existing suppliers · Sourcing, approaching, and setting up new suppliers when needed · Reporting to the Works Director · Negotiating prices, payment terms and delivery terms with suppliers · Deal with supplier quality / delivery issues The Buyer Needed: · Experience in a buying/purchasing role · Experience within engineering/manufacturing · Confident to source new suppliers · Excellent relationship building skills · IT literate with word and excel and/or a purchasing system Luton Bennett
