Job description
The position is 5 days a week from 9:30am – 6:00pm with the exception of special events & inventories.
This position is based in Nashville, TN.
The Assistant Buyer will support the Buyers to receive all merchandise for the stores and keep good working relationships with all vendors. The Assistant Buyer will assist the Buyers in the day to day functions of this department:
Buying & Inventory Control
o Receiving and tagging all stock merchandise
o Take and import all pictures of new product into ASC
o Tracking all program stock orders to ensure they are meeting the due dates
o Inventory balancing between locations
Merchandising
o Displaying all merchandise in a proper and consistent way
o Ordering and maintaining up to date display materials from vendors
Vendor Relations
o Scheduling buying meetings
o Scheduling vendors to attend special events
o Resolving issues with vendors regarding late shipments of stock orders, quality control problems, or vendors not meeting due dates on special or stock orders
o Reporting sales/on hand reports for stock analyzing
