Job description
- Work closely with suppliers, sales, production, transport, accounts and all other departments to ensure an efficient and timely supply of materials and products.
- Advise all departments on a timely basis of any issues affecting ability to meet agreed delivery dates.
- Work with suppliers to obtain prices, specifications and samples as required.
- Manage the stock for specific areas of the business.
- Maintain the supplier non-conformance process.
- Generating purchasing related reports and analysing the data.
- Liaise with the quality department regarding raw material concessions.
- Other purchasing related duties and administration duties that may be required.
- The preparation and placing of supplier orders.
- Ensuring that all incoming goods are delivered on time.
- The cross-checking of supplier invoices against orders placed.
- The sourcing of potential new suppliers.
- The development and maintenance of good lines of communications with inter-dependant department.
- The adherence to departmental standard operating procedures.
- Provide accurate and timely monthly reports - identify business risks and opportunities.

· Previous experience working within a procurement/buying role
- Demonstrable negotiation experience from a similar role
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
- The ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines.
· Excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities and working as a team is a key attribute.
· Demonstrate proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impact

Salary: £24,786.64-£36,289.16 per year
