Description
We are looking for an ACA trainee based at our London office, for our September 2023 intake! This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to kickstart their career in business valuations.
The ACA Programme:
Menzies’ ACA Apprenticeship programme is ideal for graduates starting out in the accountancy profession. Our ACA trainees work in assignment teams of three or four people with direct access to business owners and directors. Over the three-year programme, Trainees will develop their technical knowledge, practical skills and gain commercial insight into how a variety of businesses work as well as the challenges they face. Trainees will develop an understanding of business valuations and forensic services, whilst also gaining experience in accountancy and the impact of financial reporting. As trainees progress through the program, they will be exposed to increasingly complex areas and take on additional responsibility for supervising work of more junior members of the team
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of analysis relating to financial data
- Research and analysis into relevant sector to which business trades and wider economic factors
- Report writing (e.g. Preparation and assistance in completing Valuation Reports and letters)
- Liaising with clients throughout preparation of the valuation
- Liaising with H M Revenue & Customs when required where valuation relates to tax
- Preparing and supporting proposal documents for new business
- Engaging in business development, promoting the Firm and its services to existing and potential clients.
You will have:
- Minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in either a Business, Finance, Scientific, Law, Engineering or Mathematics discipline
- 5 GCSEs A*- C or 9-4 (Maths and English Language preferred
- Minimum 2 A-Level passes at grade A-C and one other/equivalent
