Main Responsibilities
In this role you will be working within a team of three to deliver the S&C (Switches and Crossings) Renewals work bank and project managing the end to end process of multiple Renewals.
Working to time sensitive stage gates and managing changes to ensure 100% On Time In Full Delivery and building relationships with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders including Customers, Suppliers, Technical authority, Quality Assurance, Train planning, Commercial
You will be responsible for managing a range of key projects across your department to deliver improvements to both safety and operational performance. No two days will be the same, but a typical day could include facilitating project meetings with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers, providing progress updates to senior managers or completing governance documentation required for upcoming panel submissions.
You will manage supply contracts to achieve the most cost effective and industry standard compliant delivery to support Network Rail's business needs. You will apply specialist knowledge in a particular category group, enabling the delivery of strategic procurement and business service activity, and own and deliver effective post contract management.
- Working in a team of 3 within the Route Services S&C (Switches and Crossings) Renewals department
- Deliver S&C renewals work bank for the Network Rail infrastructure, annual delivery of circa 350 point ends and £60m spend
- Project managing the end to end process of multiple Renewals
- Receipting orders and allocating to manufacturers based on category strategy, manufacturing capacity and financial value
- Arranging and chairing regular project meetings to ensure time sensitive stage gates are met
- Monitoring and managing changes to design, construction and delivery to ensure 100% On Time In Full Delivery
- Liaising with Projects managers, Programme managers, Engineering team and Reginal Asset Managers to fully understand project requirements
- Promoting early engagement and obtaining route work banks to feed into finance budgets and manufacturing planning
- Ensure compliant and safe delivery of assets into the infrastructure by working closely with Technical Authority and Quality Assurance
- Supporting the commercial team to provide project estimates and final costs
- Providing project status reports to senior management/executives
- Knowledge of S&C is desirable but enthusiasm to learn and develop is key
Will have the following:

Salary range: £34,050 to £38,305 per annum
