We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our established team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.
We are looking for applicants with experience in business support who can work as part of a team and independently to provide support for Fostering panel functions. The Fostering panel team are responsible for arranging and servicing different types of panel meetings within statutory timescales. They process the Agency decision makers decision informing social workers, managers and the applicant of the decision and if necessary, the appeals process.

This is a full time post working 37 hours Monday to Friday and is based at County Hall, Preston. We are operating a combination of home and office working with the expectation of at least 40% of the time working in the office but could increase to meet service need, therefore, you will be required to have a suitable working space within your home and broadband connection.

What we are looking for:
Passion – You'll be passionate about delivering a great service and experience, it's what will motivate you, getting it right first time, asking for support when you need it and building on the skills that you've developed elsewhere.
Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
Great Communication – You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.
