To provide a flexible and responsive business and administrative support service within the Youth Justice Service. As part of a wider team of business support staff, to provide a variety of clerical and administrative support for the service including typing, loading information on to a case management system, arranging meetings, minute taking, formatting reports, creating rotas and other tasks.

Youth Justice Services are looking for a Business Support Officer to join a busy team which works with young people to reduce the risk of further offending and to make communities safer.
The post holder would be part of a business support team which provides a flexible and responsive business and administrative support service to a wider staff team. The role will include a variety of clerical and administrative support through typing a range of documents, and accurate recording of information on a case management database.
It will also include being the first point of contact for telephone calls from young people parents and professionals from other agencies, arranging meetings, and responding to enquiries from members of staff and the public.
There will be a need to complete high standard minutes in relation to meetings which at times can be complex, sensitive and emotionally demanding.
The post holder will be required to carry out all duties with due regard to confidentiality and data protection regulations. As the post involves some contact with, and information about young people, a DBS will be requested to consider criminal convictions. As an organisation who work with young people who have offended, criminal convictions would not prevent applications being considered, but would need to be disclosed, and discussed at interview.
There will be training and induction arrangements agreed with ongoing supervision in place with a business support manager
Youth Justice Services is an organisation that work across Cheshire West, Cheshire East, Halton and Warrington. This post will be based at Wyvern House Winsford, with the ability to work from home on occasions and with agreement of the business support manager. The post could also involve occasions where there is a need to travel to and work from the other areas that we work across to meet the demands of the service.
