Abbotts Martin Solicitors are a successful legal practice, that pride themselves on excellence. An opportunity has arisen for a business assistant to join our Mental Health team.
The Business Assistant works within Legal Team, to flexibly deliver outstanding administration work for fee earners. The assistant will gain excellent exposure to a new area of law, and it is ideal for someone seeking a career within the sector. We are keen to develop our new starters so that they feel comfortable growing in the role with us and develop new skills that will help them going forward.
The successful candidate will be communicating with clients over the telephone which will include liaising with vulnerable clients in relation to housing and mental health law. The individual will assist with general administration work for fee earners which will include primarily answering telephone calls, drafting basic documents, photocopying, scanning, and helping management with any tasks when required. Arranging Zoom, conference calls and internal meetings. Reporting when required
The individual will need to have, and A-C in GCSE English and further education would be an advantage. The individual will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to pick up things quickly. The role will require the individual to deal with vulnerable clients with compassion and empathy as we are a law firm who represent clients with housing needs and those detained under the Mental Health Act. The individual will have a proactive approach to work and show initiative. The individual will also have the ability to multi-task and deal with competing priorities without delay and the ability to work to deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £15,526.13-£21,000.00 per year
